When you are looking for a niche… you need to know - What is a niche? First you must find a group of people that share one of these in common -

An Interest
A Pain
A Desire
A Problem

These people are the easiest to identify…

What are people fanatic about?
What magazines are published about these common interests?
What membership websites are available in these areas?

Who are they and what do the buy?

Do you understand the people who are craving information about a particular niche? If you aren’t up to speed about exactly who is included in a particular niche market… you haven’t finished your research.

It’s easy to find out who they are and what they want… Really easy.

Recently I found a new niche. The idea for this new new niche isn’t new, but it’s big. Actually I found my new niche idea by accident.

I wrote a short blog post over a year ago on one of my travel websites. It was a post about a tour I took… but the subject was not about TRAVEL. Not remotely related to travel… at all.

But this article got traffic… not a lot of traffic, but enough for me to take notice.

After a year of watching the keywords used to find this one article… I decided to do some research on the subject. I found that the reason searchers were finding this article… is because the subject isn’t covered in depth on the internet.

And… it’s a subject I can use Public Domain material to build a website and produce some products.

Want to know more???? I share every detail and you get to watch my research on video. I show you the niche… the website I build… the product I design… everything.

Where? You must be a member of the Public Domain Treasure Map membership group… or you will be left to wonder.

Public Domain Website

During a recent survey on a private membership site… one of the many questions asked was:

What’s your single most important question about about finding, repackaging, and profiting from public domain material?

The largest percentage of survey takers gave a similar response:

“My biggest problem is coming up with an IDEA! picking a topic is a nightmare! I seem to have a mental block when trying to come up with an idea.”

Are you on Information Overload? Are you struggling and can’t find a profitable niche idea?

This is just the sort of problem I had over two years ago… when I first started trying to build an online business. I know I felt so overwhelmed with information that I was stuck.

You just know that all those “big guys” have never had it as hard as you do.

They are making money online hand over fist… and it all comes so easy to them.

I felt the same way. I knew I was just a tiny fish in a great big pond.

Guess what??? Most of them started out just where you are right now… Really!

Anyway… back to my story.

I knew I needed help figuring out where to start… but where? I bought all sorts of programs and packages. I signed up for a ton of newsletters. I watched videos and listened to podcasts… but it was just filling up my brain with information. I still had no clear path.

I kept hearing all the same songs… “It will get easier” - “You need to choose one “guru” to follow and do what he says” - ” Just choose something and get started”. I had what is called the paralysis of analysis.

Finally… after spending a bunch of money that I really shouldn’t have… I spent so more. I signed up for a mentor program… and she led me by the hand into the world of profitable online marketing.

Now… I am not telling you that you need a mentor. I really didn’t either. I just needed a good kick in the pants. I paid dearly for that swift kick.

After two long… grueling years… I have earned a few stripes. I know a lot more… and guess what? They all are right! It does get easier… all of it, including coming up with ideas!

I’ll bet you’re still thinking about that first sentence I wrote, aren’t you? The one about the private membership site?

Finding a NicheFirst, let me just say that I know you are thinking “too hard”. Finding a good niche is not rocket science, but it does take time and effort.

Failing is not the huge problem you are making it out to be.

I have failed. Yes… my first website was a big fat failure. I tried to step into a huge niche that had a ton of big name competition… and compete. Well, that didn’t work.

Oh… I had done my research, and thought I had cracked the code. I was so wrong, and lost money. Did it hurt? Yes.

Personally, I have had too reel in the fast track - let’s get into “many niche” idea - and focus on the niches that I love to write about and find interesting. They are not “big money” niches. They do make money, consistently. And… they make more money for my family, each month.

They are sites that the search engines like. Some of these sites are almost 3 years old. Some are new niches that I have just started recently.

How did I find these niches to create my business around? I had a mentor tell me flat out… start with an idea you already talk about all the time… and then go deep into the research within that topic and find out what others need help with the most.

Then take that deep, deep idea and start working on the keyword research…. and start writing articles to put on your website from the day you find your “golden nugget”.

You won’t find an internet marketer that hasn’t failed in his business in some way. You just won’t! You have heard that you must walk before you can run. I’ll bet you let those words go in one ear and out the other… Yeah, Yeah, Yeah… not just show me where the “easy button” is and how to push it.

Well, my friends… You must fail first before finding a niche.
